"Recently, I had occasion to use Teletrade to sell a large collection
of my coins. I had been a Teletrade customer for about nine years and
bought and sold numerous coins in small transactions. However, this is
my first experience with a large-scale sale. I had also both bought and
sold through other auction houses and coin dealers over the years.
"Clearly the professionalism and courtesy with which I
was treated was first rate. My coins were scheduled for sale promptly
and sold at prices which, in my estimation, were better than achievable
for a collection of this size through private sale (and much quicker), and at least as good if not better than realizable through competitive auctions. In addition, Teletrade is the one place where coins, of relative common availability, albeit of some condition value, are easily sold.
"Now, the point of selling is of course to realize money, and Teletrade
was first rate here, too. I got...full settlement...much faster, and
with less grief, than other auction houses. Of course, the knowledge
of the staff goes without necessary comment from me.
"In sum, with a built-up Internet market for publicity and constant auctions,
Teletrade seems to me to be the way to go for most collections. Yes,
there are a few great rarity collections which might bring notoriety,
but even though I had many condition rarities, and notable coins, my
collection like many others was a mixed bag, and simply could not have
been effectively marketed in such a quick period, with such proceeds,
otherwise."

"I have been selling coins through, and occasionally buying coins from, Teletrade Auctions since 1990. The service has always been excellent, and obviously, I am pleased with the prices that my lots realize, as I continue to consign after nearly fifteen years. I find that it is hard to beat the level of convenience--we mail the coins, and Teletrade sends us a check the week after they sell (since we are continuous consignors). Teletrade does all the invoicing, crediting of payments, and perhaps most important, shipping. We sell many coins in many places and do a lot of shipping on our own, and it's nice to have Teletrade as a partner in this section of our business. They truly do save us much time and make us a significant amount of money every year. As an occasional purchaser of coins in Teletrade, I have also been quite pleased with the quality of the lots that we've won. The photography is excellent, and to my recollection, we have never returned a single lot. I also add that when consigning, "premium quality" coins do bring premium prices in Teletrade, and the number of our lots returned for refunds is very small. Excellent service, nice coins, and fine prices--it's a lot to find in one place, and we do at Teletrade."
