Statehood Quarter Set - Silvers

Silver Statehood quarters are Proof-only issues, and have been sold by the Mint in encased sets since the inception of the series in 1999; representing all five issues for each year. The series is scheduled to continue until 2008, with quarters celebrating all 50 states offered. The distinctive designs are magnificent in appearance, offering deep mirror-like fields and heavily frosted engraved features. The visual appeal of each is truly spectacular. Very high grade examples are extremely popular with collectors, with many Proof-70 certified pieces having very low populations. Many advanced collectors assemble complete sets of each year's issue seeking only PR69 or PR70 graded pieces, while others want only an issue of their favorite state.
