U.S. Platinum Eagle Proof Set
Platinum bullion coinage has been struck since 1997, in tenth-ounce, quarter-ounce, half-ounce and one ounce weights; $10, $25, $50 and $100 denominations, respectively. All contain 99.95% pure platinum. These magnificent coins depict the Statue of Liberty's head on the obverse, with beautifully engraved vistas on the reverse of most issues. Since their inception, examples of all denominations have been struck in both Proof and Mint State formats.
