Territorial Gold ND AU 58 NGC Bechtler $5 134G Ander. Nev. Col
(1842-1852?) Kagin-27, identifiable by the 134. G/21CARATS designation on the obverse. Uniform light greenish gold toning. Smooth, attractive surfaces, with only a few ultra-microscopic ticks and light rubbing. Remarkably attractive for this often harshly handled August Bechtler issue. Well struck lettering. Just a tad soft at the dentils around the obverse rim, as usual. A mere 17 examples of this weight designation variety have NGC certified at all grade levels. Just seven coins have been graded AU58; none finer. Likewise, a scant three total pieces have been certified by PCGS, with none close to the grade offered here. One of the finest known examples of this historic issue.
