H10C 1838 MS 66 NGC Sm Stars
Nearly full mint luster, accented with just a touch of light golden rose iridescence. Mostly well struck, using a heavily rusted and deteriorated obverse die, characteristic of the 'Small Stars' variety. Die clashing evident on both sides. Dentils are a bit weak on the obverse. Virtually flawless surfaces. Superb quality. Excellent eye appeal. Only 21 total coins have been NGC certified with the small stars designation. This is the lone MS66 graded example, and none have been certified higher. Likewise, only one example achieves this grade at PCGS; none finer. A fantastic coin, which certainly stands as a likely candidate for the finest known.
