20C 1875 PR 63 PCGS
Mint brilliance is soft white, with slightly haze reflective fields. No detracting marks. Just a few faint hairlines in the fields. Typical of Proof examples of this date, there are a few fine swooping die polishing lines in the upper obverse field, as struck. In spite of its high reported Proof mintage figure, the certified population today is about the same as others in this short-lived series, casting a shadow of doubt over the accuracy of a claimed 2,790 piece sold. Only 89 total pieces have been PCGS certified PR63.
